When buying a house, we recommend all clients to obtain a Plumbing Inspection combined with your Building Inspection Report.
What does a Plumbing Inspection consist of?
Our professional plumbing inspectors will provide you with a written inspection report outlining the condition of your property, which includes, but not limited to:
- Camera inspection through your sewer and storm water lines (request if required, not a part of a standard plumbing inspection)
- Pressure test water pipes
- Check hot water heater
- Leak detection within your property
- Drainage water problems
- Gas leaks
- We check all taps, fixtures and fittings
Why is a Plumbing Inspection important?
The cost of repairing a blocked sewer underground pipe can be quite costly and is a hidden factor to most consumers purchasing a property and even to professional building inspectors. There could be some signs and smells, however when a vendor is selling a property, they do whatever it takes to unblock the pipe temporarily and remove any odors, to help maximize property sales.
Most inspection companies are not liable for plumbing faults as they are covered under the building agreement which is signed by both parties prior to inspection.
Without proper plumbing inspection being conducted at the property, you will not be able to determine if a plumbing problem is at hand.
