THE federal government has ordered safety inspections for all homes fitted with insulation under its $3.7 billion rebate scheme.

The Minister has announced the discontinuation of the Home Insulation Program, effective from close of business on Friday 19 February 2010 due to citing safety concerns.

This is aimed at boosting safety for households and safety for the workers whose employment is funded by this important environmental program. Safety is the Australian Government’s number one priority.

Due to the number of fires and problems households have been experiencing with insulation, it is very important to have your home checked if you have recently had insulation installed in your home. One of our qualified and highly experienced insulation inspectors will come out to your home and do a thorough inspection of your ceiling insulation installed to ensure it has been installed properly and there are no safety concerns.

Please be aware that the government has recently suspended insulation effective immediately as of the 18th of February 2010, due to many safety concerns and problems which have arose during the course of the rebate.
